Vineyard Cottage Candles are made from eco-friendly soy wax. Some of the benefits of soy are:
Soy wax burns cooler than paraffin wax
Soy wax produces 95 percent less soot than paraffin wax (No more soot lines on your walls or ceiling!)
Soy wax burns longer than paraffin wax.
Soy wax is non-toxic and bio-degradable. Just wash your containers with warm soapy water after removing any excess soy wax, (if there is any!)
Soybean wax is a renewable resource unlike petroleum.
Soybeans are grown by American farmers, not imported like the petroleum used in making paraffin wax.
Recycle or Re-use!
At Vineyard Cottage Candles we believe in re-using or recycling to cut back on unnecessary waste. For this reason you will find a lot of our candles poured in unique, usually vintage glassware and containers that can be used for another purpose when the candle is finished. We also have a line of jar candles that can be re-used or recycled. Because soy wax burns so efficiently it is easy to clean and re-use the containers our candles come in. Just wash in warm soapy water.
Purity
The most pure form of a soy candle is one that does not have scent or color added to it. We do offer this kind of candle, but we pride ourselves in the color and scent we have been able to achieve in our candles. Our candles are rich in color and have great scent throw! Because soy wax is natural, some colors and scents we use can cause a white frosted effect. This has no effect on the candle scent or burn performance.
For Optimum Burn and Safety
Please use care when burning candles.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep all burning candles away from children and pets.
- Place freestanding candles in a shallow dish or bowl to catch the wax.
- Always keep the wick trimmed to ΒΌ inch.
- Burning most candles no longer than 3 to 4 hours at a time will increase total burn time.
- If candle burns unevenly, it could be due to a draft. Rotate the candle 90 degrees periodically to keep burning uniform, or move it to another location.
